SNOWHITE ®80 kaolin is ultra- white and ultra- fine calcined kaolin. It has been dehydroxylated by controlled heat treatment for removal of crystalline-bound hydroxyl groups and to improve brightness it is highly pulverized for better dispersion.
SNOWHITE ®80 kaolin is ultra- white and ultra- fine calcined kaolin. It has been dehydroxylated by controlled heat treatment for removal of crystalline-bound hydroxyl groups and to improve brightness it is highly pulverized for better dispersion. The effect is the particle shape, chemistry and mineralogy of the kaolin is altered. This process produces a calcined kaolin with excellent optical and physical properties which are particularly suitable for the paint industry.
SNOWHITE ®80 kaolin given user the following benefit:
◎The optimalizing oil absorption, the reasonable particle size distribution, the ultra low residues, the good scattering properties, the high whiteness and high hiding power give formulators ultimate flexibility to optimize their recipes.
◎Incorporates readily into solvent and water–borne coatings, where it provides good opacity either alone or in combination with TiO2 as an extenders.
◎Provides good sheen control, excellent scrub resistance and excellent weather resistance.
